Ariella is in foal!
On
Wednesday, November 19th Ariella was confirmed to be still foal after
the stress of shipping from Holland. She is bred to the exciting
stallion Johnson (Jazz x Flemmingh) and is due May 23rd. We have very
high hopes for this foal!
Vianna aka Noodle is placed 2nd of all mares on the East Coast for the ISR/Oldenburg registry
I just received a notice in the mail informing me that Vianna (check her out in FOR SALE
section) was placed 2nd of all mares from the East Coast in 2008 with
the ISR/Oldenburg registry. She was inspected on August 1st of 2008 in
Petersham, MA and received 107 points and was put into the Premium Mare
Book. The judge commented that Vianna is one of the nicest pony mares
he has ever seen. Her colt, Romeo, also received Premium Status with a
score of 8.2.

Ariella (Trento x Zortin) arrives in the United States
Our
fantastic mare Ariella arrived in the US. She looks great and we are
very excited to have her here. She is a breathtaking mover and very
elegand and lady-like. She will spend the next few months under saddle.
She will be ultrasounded soon to make sure that she is still in foal to
Johnson (Jazz x Flemmingh) for a 2009 foal. I will try to get new
videos and pictures of both Ariella and Ashley up on the website soon.
Sad News
Our
UB - 40 filly DayDaula ("Daisy") had to be euthanized at Tufts
veterinary center on Friday October 31st. We are devastated to have
lost such a wonderful filly. She was a beautiful mover and very sweet
and people oriented and always brought smiles to our faces. She will be
greatly missed.
Mystic Valley Hunt Club Show in CT
I
could not have asked for better results! The show was a great success.
Tycho was very relaxed and well behaved. We won all of our classes (2nd
Level Tests 1 and 2) with scores of 70.8%, 71.3%, 72.6% and a 75.6% . The
last score was (of course!) the highest score of the show. Tycho felt
great and he was obedient, powerful and supple. I couldn't have asked
for a better end of the season. My trainer, Sharon McCusker also had a
good show, she won her Grand Prix class with a 69%!. Congratulations
Sharon!

NEDA Fall FestivalI had a wonderful time at the Fall Festival of Dressage in Saugerties, NY. This was the firs time that Tycho experienced such a busy show atmosphere. Being a rather spooky horse he was quite nervous on the first day at the showgrounds. As time went on he got used to the atmosphere and focused on the work. Highlight of the show were a 71.3% (2nd place) Second Level Test 2 on Friday and a 68.9% (1st place) at Second Level Test 2 on Sunday.

Vermont Dressage Days - August 15th and 16th
Tycho's first recognized dressage show in the US was a great success. He was a superstar on Saturday and took home two blue ribbons. On the second day he was quite exuberant and unfortunately decided to "explode" several times during our tests, so the results were not as good as on the first day. But he was so good on the first day that he is forgiven the slight naughtiness. Here is a picture taken during the halt of one of the "naughty" tests:
ISR/Oldenburg Inspection - August 1st - Vianna and Romeo
Vianna (aka "Noodle") and Romeo had a great outing at the ISR/Oldenburg inspection. They both received Premium status and were highly praised by the jury. The judge commented that Vianna is one of the best sportpony mares that he has ever seen. He also stressed the fact that very rarely do pony mares get into the premium mare book. We are very proud of Vianna! The judge of course also loved Romeo. He described his movement as "breathtaking" and commented on his pleasant disposition.Romeo and Vianna at the inspection:

Ashley (Trento B x Bustron x Jashin) arrives in the United States!
Our fabulous mare Ashley arrived safe and sound in the US. She has been confirmed in foal to Zuindenwind. She will spend the next few months in training under saddle before she gets too far along to be ridden. We are very excited to have this mare here - she should produce a fantastic foal in 2009!

Ariella (Trento B x Zortin x Jashin) received a total score of 80 points and was the highest scoring dressage mare. Ashley (Trento B x Bustron x Jashin) received a total score of 75 points. We are very proud of our mares and look forward to having them both in the United States.

Tycho arrives in the United States
Tycho arrived in the US safe and sound. He is by Krack C and out of Nessica by TCN Partout. His full brother, United, is an approved KWPN stallion and ridden by Edward Gal. I am extremely excited to have Tycho in the US with me. I plan on doing some shows with Tycho this year in the summer and fall.
